imagine your child finds a photo of your family in a drawer 30 years from now. what do you hope they remember looking at that photo?

If it were me, I wouldn't remember a traditional photo of everyone stiff saying cheese. I wouldn't remember how well I performed in front of the camera. My goal is for families & couples to view their images, and recreate that day years from now with their imagination. Sessions with me are beautifully raw, real, and genuine. It’s important to know that my sessions are not traditional and overly-posed. I love finding the poetry in the human experience, and my photos are full of heart and imperfect, just like people. Sunset Storyteller sessions can take place during a sunny or overcast "sunset". As long as the light is soft and luminous. My editing style is described as enchanting, embracing brown and golden tones with a hint of grit from added grain, romantic, and cinematic. Pay attention to the colours my clients are wearing - different shades of browns, creams/oats, and hints of olive/moss greens and rusts. Greens and blues are de-saturated, added contrast keeps the "pop" consistent, and clarity/texture is brought down to give it a timeless glow.
